WHAT DOES ‘LODESTAR’ MEAN?
Many people ask what’s the meaning behind the name Lodestar. It’s not a common term, but it does have significant meaning. Lodestar is an ancient term that is used to refer to a star that leads or guides. One example is the Pole Star. This noun means one that serves as an inspiration, guide, or model. It is a person or thing that serves as an inspiration or guide, like a star used for navigation.
It also has roots in scripture where in Luke 9:57 someone says to Jesus, “I will follow You wherever You go.”
This has a strong personal meaning to our family, biblically and because we love leading others. In addition to that, when we are not working, our favorite activity is hiking outdoors. When we lived in Minnesota, we loved camping on the north shore of Lake Superior where we would star-gaze. Here there was no reflection of city lights, just us and the galaxy above. Drawing from our passion for scripture, the outdoors and leading others served as the foundation for the name Lodestar.
Our hope is that our team of professionals will be able to lead and guide you in your business’ financial space just as the North Star has served to lead others when navigating the great outdoors!
